On 20th and 21st November 2024, the 24th edition of the European Business Summit (EBS) “Investing in Europe: Towards the Next Five Years and Beyond” was held in Brussels and our partners from Finnova Foundation participated in some of the most insightful discussions on Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Experts representing institutions and the business world engaged in conversations about the disruptive innovation brought about by AI. Matt Brittin, president of Google EMEA, highlighted AI’s potential to improve quality of life, particularly in areas such as learning, education, and accessibility—provided it is implemented thoughtfully and responsibly.
While AI offers significant opportunities, it also presents challenges, especially regarding its effective use. Developing digital skills and fostering ethical awareness are critical to fully harnessing the potential of these transformative technologies.
Idoia Salazar, President and Founder OdiseIA, stressed the importance of educating not only younger generations but also older populations, equipping everyone with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate this evolving landscape.
Amid the rapid shift toward digital transformation, the LivAI project stands out as a key initiative in ensuring AI enhances human potential. As part of the Erasmus+ program, LivAI is dedicated to making digital knowledge accessible to adult learners, educators, and educational institutions. By aligning with the priorities highlighted during the EBS panels, the project contributes to realizing the vision of the 60% of Europeans who anticipate a positive impact from AI in their daily lives.

The Erasmus+ LivAI project aims to create educational resources on AI and develop an e-learning platform for digital skills certification, with a particular focus on the ethical approach to AI. By addressing the needs of adult education, the project seeks to empower individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the evolving digital landscape.
Led by the Universitat Jaume I (Spain) in collaboration with the Finnova Foundation (Belgium), Konnektable Technologies Ltd (Ireland), EFCoCert (Switzerland), Project Consult (Italy), and UBITECH (Greece), the project has a total budget of €250,000.
