  • The aim of the session was to discuss the potential of AI in the management of the energy systems.
  • The LivAI project’s aim is to support the development and digital transition of european communities, implementing transmisión of new concepts and knowledge about AI.

June 14th, 2024, Brussels. Finnova Foundation attended last Thursday 12th June at the session “AI in the energy sector” during the European Sustainable Energy Week in Brussels (Belgium), the biggest conference dedicated to Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency in Europe, about the potential of AI in the management of the energy systems. The main theme of this edition was “Net-zero energy solutions for a competitive Europe”. Finnova’s team members has the opportunity to know more about EU latest regulatory developments (i.e EU AI act) and future applications of AI to build a more sustainable society. These topics are connected to the European LivAI project in terms of its commitment to the trasmission of awarenees about AI potential and the application of regulations in Europe.

The role of AI in the energy transition is to optimize energy consuption, integrate renewable energy, improve a smart grid management and energy storage, create a predective maintenance, forecast energy market and enhance decision making.
