The LivAI project organizes the Future Skills Forum to promote digital skills and ethics in Europe’s digital transformation

  • Future Skills Forum: Organized by LivAI, this event will bring together experts to discuss the importance of digital skills and ethics in adopting new technologies, with a focus on the evolution towards Industry 4.0 in Europe.
  • Experts will address all ethical implications and legislation related to AI in the educational field, and how this new artificial intelligence can improve learning in the education system.

On Thursday, October 17th, starting at 09:00 (CEST), LivAI will co-organize the “Future Skills Forum: Challenges and Opportunities in the Digital Age” at the European Economic and Social Committee (Brussels, Belgium). This forum will become a crucial space to discuss the relevance of digital skills, ethics in the use of new technologies, and the transition to Industry 4.0 in Europe.

The event, organized by the Finnova Foundation, will serve to explore how emerging technologies are impacting education, industrial innovation, and cybersecurity. In addition, this space will be used to discuss various topics related to the ethical use of AI, its implementation in the population and in education.

We have the privilege of welcoming several expert panelists to this event. The project will organize the first and second panels. The first session, ‘Ethics & AI Legislation,’ will focus on the ethical implications and legislation related to AI in the educational field. Specialists such as Karine Caunes, Director of CAIDP Europe; Sonia Pérez Romero, Head of Unit in charge of the AI Act at the European Data Protection Supervisor; Rubén Araque Rodilla, Security Councilor of Benaguasil City Council; and Joanna Sliwa, Senior Scientist at NATO’s Information and Communications Agency, will discuss these topics.

On the other hand, the second panel, ‘Education & Digital Skills,’ will explore how artificial intelligence can personalize learning and better prepare students for an ever-evolving digital environment. Experts such as Juan Manuel Revuelta, CEO of Finnova; Tatjana Babrauskiené, Member of the European Economic and Social Committee; Georgi Dimitrov, Head of Unit for Digital Education at the Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (EAC) of the European Commission; and Óscar Belmonte, Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Languages and Systems at Jaume I University, will contribute their expertise.

This event offers a unique opportunity to establish synergies and strategic collaborations between key players shaping Europe’s digital future. Furthermore, organizing this event alongside the European MANUFACTURING4ALL project, related to the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies to improve industrial competitiveness and sustainability, will provide our project with the chance to establish connections with stakeholders in that field.
