The LivAI project presented by the Finnova Foundation at the Delegation of the Region of Valencia in Brussels

  • The Finnova Foundation presented the LivAI project to councillors and mayors of the Valencian region of Camp del Túria in the Delegation of the Region of Valencia in Brussels.

November 15th, 2023, Brussels. On Thursday 9th of November, in the framework of an institutional visit at the Delegation of the Region of Valencia in Brussels, the Finnova Foundation team presented the LivAI project to a group of 19 mayors and councillors from municipalities in the Valencian region of Camp del Túria. The meeting presented more possibilities for new project ideas along the same lines. 

The project was presented by Elroy Arancibia, European Project manager at Finnova, who explained the objectives of the project focused on increasing institutional commitment to the implementation of the EU guidelines on ethics in artificial intelligence, creating Open Educational Resources (OER) that provide and validate competences in the field of data and AI, and promoting the ethical use of data in education at all levels. The mayors and councillors showed great interest in this project, and wanted to know all the details.

LivAI is an Erasmus+ project with a focus on the ethical approach to AI and data. It falls within a certification framework, setting standards for all learning environments. With a budget of €250,000, the project aims to enhance digital skills and the ethical use of AI on adults. It is led by the Universitat Jaume I (Spain) in collaboration with the Finnova Foundation (Belgium), Konnektable Technologies Ltd (Ireland), EFCoCert (Switzerland), Project Consult (Italy) and UBITECH (Greece).
